The Tombstone Marshalls are currently 6-1 in the first year of the HQPL league.
Led by their rookie sensations on this Offense, are those that were the most dangerous outlaws in the Ol' West, and fictional criminals, are QB, Sam "Sundance" Kid, RB brothers Jesse and Frank James, WR's Johnny Ringo, "Wild" Bill Hickock, Lucas "Cool Hand Luke" Jackson, TE Billy "The Kid" Kid, are on their high horses and playing well to continue to make plays and win games!!
On this Defense, made up of past lawmen, and those that helped ensure towns were safe in Ol' West, we have the Earp Brothers, MLB Wyatt, CB's Morgan & Virgil, DT James, as well as their close friends, WLB Don "Doc" Holliday, FS "Turkey Creek" Jack Johnson and SS Sherman McMasters (who broke away from the "Red Sash" game and became a law abiding citizen). This Defense, with their tenacity to make plays, and on Special Teams, have helped the Marshalls win consistently this year!!!
In the roster you will notice many names that are featured in the movie "Tombstone" or people who made the "Wild West" wild. You'll see James West and Artemus Gordon from the the show "The Wild, Wild, West", Matt Dillon "Gunsmoke", Joshua Smith and Thadeus Jones "Alias Smith and Jones", the Masterson brothers Bart "Bat" and Ed. There are also names of ol' west judges as well as names I couldn't change.
The notorious outlaws I picked for offense because they will want to steal yards from you any way they can and make big scores as often as possible.
The outstanding, and those that helped ensure safety at that time, were picked because they will handcuff the other teams from scoring easy plays or stealing yards they don't deserve.
I did this unique look at this game to make it fun for me, interesting for you, and to make you laugh every time "The Sundance Kid" throws a TD to "Wild Bill Hickock" or "Cool Hand Luke", or to be pissed when one of the Earp's picks a pass or tackle you for a loss.
I know it's silly, maybe even a bit childish, but shouldn't everything you do be fun and interesting!! I do!!
In the future, obviously, I will run out of ol' west people and will have to go to gangsters/lawmen in the early 1900's. How interesting that would be to see Al Capone throw a pass to Bugsy Malone only to be tackled for a loss by J. Edgar Hoover. LOL.
Anyway, this will be a very fun league for me. Hope you enjoy the ride also!!!
